|
Play the strategy game "Reelect Bush?" and see if GWB gets reelected, or not. You are his handler, his "Karl Rove." He needs your help getting through a hectic campaign season, making the critical decisions that affect his chances of reelection, and his conscience as well. GWB's expressions will reflect on how well you are doing, as will various voice clips. Click the speaker icon at the bottom of each page for random sample audio, which changes when each page is opened or refreshed. Should that CIA plan for Iraq be approved? Bill Clinton and Albert Gore have a modest proposal. Consider holding back some news on capturing you-know-who until just before the polls open? There is an unpopular spending proposal that saves lives but gets few votes. Dust off that flight suit for a Space Shuttle ride? GWB's future and conscience are in you hands!
TIP: Check out the odds displayed and think strategically. Compromises need to be made. Good guys don't always win. Then there are those pesky trivia type questions that pop up all the time. Who could be expected to know the difference between the flags of Russia, France, and Holland? Would you believe reporters want GWB to "name that tune" and identify the patriotic music the USMC Band is playing? Then there are the origins of the name Schwarzenegger, the prime minister of Pakistan, the capital of Australia . . . it seems to never end. TIP: Before playing you may want to do your homework and study AI Bush's personal copy of the CIA World Factbook. If you're out sabotage the Bush family plan, be careful. He isn't called AI Bush for nothing. He may spot a trend in your devious advice and rely more on his own algorithms to maintain a grip. Better to hold back a little and wait for a moment of weakness. As the campaign season progresses, tracking polls show you and George the effects of your actions. Madame Adel's Vibatron reveals the condition of GWB's soul. Finally the last tactic takes flight, ad budgets soar, attorneys flock, and the final result comes home to roost. Will you hear the sound of mournful taps, or will it be GWB's congratulations on a job well done? Note: With the number of possible scenarios and various probabilities, no two games are the same. Hone your skills and see just how high (or low) you can push the result. In the end, you'll never watch a presidential campaign with the same eyes again! |
